do i have to go to Playstation.com to ask for thm to fix my PS2?

I think something is wrong with my PS2,when i work on a game really hard to beat the game it deletes my profile,is there some thing wrong with it,or is it acting retarded?P.S. if there is something wrong with where do i go to get it fixed??????
