Do I have to be slim to salsa dance?

I really want to start salsa dancing classes, but I'm worried about turning up and the moves !!
I'm not extremely large, but I've got some extra weight .
I am worried about the turns and if I will look silly ! I am so shy anyway but i love salsa so much and the music..
do u think it ll be a problem?
