ok so i decided to try to get the ROTC scholarship for college. i'm a senior this year and i wanted to know if i have to attend basic training camp in order to get the scholarship or even just the ROTC program.

nope, you do not. The first two years of ROTC, you take classes like regular college classes. In between your sophomore and junior years you go to a basic-training-like experience (in the air force, this is called Field Training). Lasts 4 weeks. When you come back for you final two years of college, your ROTC courses are a little tougher and you become a cadet officer and run the corps operations. You do not, however, have to go to basic for ANY service in order to do ROTC. Anyone who tells you different is full of it.
