Do I have a case against my employer? Can I get a lawyer pro-bono?

I just received a letter from Anthem stating their thanks for our business but my insurance benefits were terminated on 8/31/2009.
It is now 10/28/2009! I have proof the money was be deducted from my paychecks. I am now stuck with bills from September. Is this legal for the employer to do? Just last week I lost my job from them and now I am wondering if money is the reason I was let go? Where should I go from here?

I knew for a while by his actions that my job would soon be gone. At one point I almost filed a police report because he got in my face in a threatening manner and his spit got on my face! I put up with all his tyrant acts because I have two girls under the age of 30 months. I never thought my medical benefits would be in jeopardy like this though!
Incidents are in KY

Google your county's bar association and there should be a link on there for pro bono work. You will have to make below a certain threshold to qualify. I don't know what kind of claim you would have.
