i just bought a 93 del sol si with 190,000 miles and it seems to run awesome without burning any oil or anything bad engine wise other than the 2nd and 3rd gear synchros grinding. i know that most 88 - 91 civics will last anywhere from 300,000 miles to 400,000 miles but everytime i search the internet for super high mileage del sol's, the highest mileage i could find was like 260,000. i know it matters greatly how you treat the car but i guess what i'm asking is, do del sol's have the infamous reliability that other civics have? after the engine burns up i'm just gonna slap another D16 engine in it but i just hope i can crank out at least 300,000 with the engine thats already in it. if your replying to this question and you've owned a del sol that the motor popped on, let me know what mileage it had on it when the engine gave out. thanks
