Yes, because you don't have to hit the ball all that well to get a single. You just have to place it in the right spot. To hit home runs you have to made good solid contact with the ball to get all of it (or most of it) out of the park. Like the several above said, it is unplayable, pumps up the team, and you get an RBI in the process.
