...that they are the opposite? Do girls sometimes complain about themselves just to have someone else tell them that they are the opposite?
like they'll say, i look terrible, and then someone tells them, no, you look great.
Yes, it's so freaking annoying.
My friend who's like kinda chubby/fat, always says "Oh, I'm sooo fat!"
And it kills me inside a little bit every time to say "No, you're skinny."
I don't want to hurt her feelings, but i'm ready to tell her to STFU.
Haha, yes, absolutely. I am guilty of it too, I do it to my bf when I haven't received any compliments in a while.
I'd like to stop doing it though since i hate it when other girls do that, it's like: ok, i get it you're fishing for compliments...but i do it too
some girls do that because they want someone to be thinking of them. like i did it to my boyfriend and it made me feel better when i was thinking the opposite so yeah some girls will do it but some wont
Absolutely yes. It's called 'fishing for compliments'. Don't get sucked into that.
When a girl truly feels bad about herself, and genuinely needs a bit of encouragement, she will confide her feelings. Use your discretion and you will be able to spot the difference.
