First there were the two sickos who killed Jeffrey Dirkhising. Then the NAMBLA creeps who murdered Jeffrey Curley. Soon after, Miranda Prather lied about being assaulted. Later, numerous hate crime hoaxes happened. Now, we have Frank Lombard. None of those cases got major media coverage. While Matthew Shepherd's death is bombarded with weeks of news reports and front page headlines.

Alright, a few things
1.NAMBLA is it's own organization-It has nothing to do with the LGBT community on a whole, and I can assure you that's on purpose-NAMBLA is just creepy and wrong.
2.There are way more hate crimes towards LGBT people and EVEN those percieved to be such/homophobia than there is LGBT crime against heterosexuals and heterophobia, plain and simple. Neither crime is more important than the other, and it's COMPLETLEY WRONG both ways, but honestly-saying that there is a big problem with gay criminals bashing straight people is just ridiculous, and it isn't true. The LGBT community is a margainilized and scorned one and gets way more flack and bashing than most other groups, and most certainly more than specifically straight people do.
Really, I've never even heard of a STRAIGHT bashing...just because a bashing happens between a LGBT person and a straight person doesn't mean its bashing in either way...If it does happen though, I'll be the first to rally and say how wrong it was and how it should never happen ever again-just like how straight people/closet homos should NOT bash out and open LGBT people/people who they perceive to be LGBT.
As for Matthew Shepherd-Drop it. That was a very disgusting crime and it was proven that it happened because of homophobia, his killers said so themselves.
