Do Ford Mustang V6s outlast the V8s because they are driven easier ?

If someone drove a Mustang V8 just like they would drive a V6 version (in other words, hardly ever demanding much from the engine) would the V8 engine still wear faster than the V6? Or do the V8s mainly wear faster because owners of V8s push their cars hard?

Technically speaking there is more potential for the V8 to have problems simply because there are more moving parts. However i've seen V8s outlast V6s' as well.
