Women, does it drive you crazy to know that Philip Roth is America's most celebrated novelist?
I like you, Sage. Considering that I'm over six feet tall and have sparkling blue eyes, I'm not accustomed to rejection, but nice try. Tall, handsome boys like myself usually don't get turned down.
I still like you, Sage. Girls like you are fun. You seem a bit angry. You need a handsome boy to iron out your frustrations. Put on a skirt tomorrow. Flash some leg. Swing your hips around. You may like what happens.
Sage, I don't know exactly what's motivating you, but I don't think you are trying to be rude to me. I think you're just a girl who sometimes likes being mean to men. I don't mind being your target, but I don't think you mean what you're saying. Why can't you just be a sweet girl? Put your hair in a ponytail and act like a girl, okay?

No, not really.
His achievements have nothing to do with his gender. It would be arrogant for a male to say he accomplished something simply because it was male.
Here's an alternative question.
Do male readers hate the fact the J.K. Rowling is the richest writer in the world?

Edit: Hmm, looks like my presumptions are correct, you are vain. Maybe tall guys usually don't get rejected, but arrogant ones do.

Edit: Sage looks angry? You're the one trolling on the internet, you can't talk.

and clearly, fame and awards make someone great.( end sarcasm.)
considering that I've never heard of him, and I spend hours on literary websites... I think you are being a troll and this question is better asked under polls and surveys.

You sound like a sexist b@st@rd... And that does not mean he's the most celebrated novelist. You want to know how I know that? I didn't know who he was until I saw this, and I'm a pretty avid reader.

Omg... He's super conceited too! I know a 14 y/o boy your height haha. I would never accept any request from you if I knew you were so accustomed to sexism... Did your girlfriend just dump you? You've got to be upset about something to go spending time on Y!A trying to insult the entire female population of a worldwide famous website.

Hey, guys, I'm going to report his answer. If we all do it, perhaps we'll get this pervert of eventually.

Yes. It burns us. It makes us clench our manicured nails into our palms and rend our styled hair. It may even give us the vapors. This is because all women are a monolith, and are exactly like that girl in high school who turned you down. Every one of us.

That's the answer you wanted, right?

Edit: Oh yes. You are totally handsome and successful and have a great car and the women are just all over you. Why, you have to beat those shallow, slavering dames off with a stick! It's hard being so devilishly handsome over the internet, isn't it?

Try not to pull something while pleasuring yourself over your fantasy life.

Edit the second: Yes. Every girl who doesn't fall drooling at your feet simply needs some good ol' manjuice to straighten her out. I bet it's that feminism, ruining all the good girls, what with their demands to be treated like you dashing menfolk. It makes them frigid! It gives them anger issues! That's why your life is a constant string of rejections! Feminism is ruining them! You're right! It's all true!

You think it's darling, of course, which you will be sure to tell me at some point, probably appended with "honey" or "sweetie". In fact, it entertains you! And since I don't find you to be particularly charming or intelligent, I -must- be sexually frustrated. It can't possibly be that you're a pathetic little man who will die alone, clutching your Phillip Roth and mumbling about pitches and chords. No, the problem lies completely with me.

I've never read his books.

Also... why the heck would I care? Personally, my "most celebrated" (ie favorite) writer is Tolkien. I don't hate him because he's not a woman. His writing is great.

Why would it bother women? It's not like he's threatening the career of female novelists. Do you want it to bother us?

Edit: Hahaha, I think you're a narcissist in disguise. The attractiveness conversation you two just had over the internet... ridiculous...
