Do doctors ask you back to discuss the results of your blood tests even if there's

nothing wrong? I went to see the doctor (GP) on Monday about losing weight and he had some blood taken as a routine thing. I asked the nurse on the way out when I could phone about them and she said Friday.

On Friday, before I called, I received a letter in the post asking me to make a "non urgent" appointment to discuss the results.

Now I don't go to the doctors very often and I can't remember what happened last time I had blood taken. So do they ask you back even if it's to say everything is fine?

Not usually, but it could be something simple that they want to discuss a treatment. Say cholesterol was too high. Now you might need a certain type of diet so they need to discuss lifestyle, etc. Don't freak. Easier said than done though. Good luck, hope it's not serious and there is a VERY good chance that is the case.
