Do display cell phones in retail stores have electronics in them?

I'm asking so that I can steal them, lol. I only ask because I was holding a slider phone at a store, and I noticed that I could push parts of the plastic inward with little resistence. I was going to buy the phone, but I wasn't sure whether the actualy phone was like that or not. Is it?

Thanks!

It depends on the store for the fact of what they are using the display for. If you can't turn it on or see anything, it's most likely gutted for display purposes, just a shell to give you the look and feel of the phone.

If it's a display one you can actually play with (I work for a telecommunications company and we have iphones hooked up on display that we can play with), then obviouslly it would have the insides still.

Hope that helps :)

They are usually factory rejects, they failed quality control somewhere along the line. They may or may not have all the guts.

I think that depends on the store. Some have real ones, some fake. It's better to ask it at the store. Good luck with steali.. eh buying!
