Differences in brands by itself would not change the sound of an intake but the design and diameter of the piping as well as the length. From what I understand the shorter and "fatter" the pipe the louder the intake would be. A long skinny tube will emmit some F1 style noise high up in the power band. At idle there will not be too much of a difference but you will hear a slight hiss from the engine compartment as long as there is a open filter element like a cone filter.
