Well, perhaps that's why 250 delegates, Euro-MPs flew off into the sunshine yesterday, bound for Teneriffe? Some might call it a junket or even a total waste of OUR money all £550,000 of it. Some might say they've just created yet another massive carbon footprint. Some sceptics might wonder why they don't stay at home and use video conferencing. No treaties will be signed and no legislation come into force as the summit hasn't the power to do this, instead they'll be wined and dined in the best hotels. What do you think?
Morning Hal, Yes, i think you're right but actually i was wondering why they haven't gone to Iceland where they could see for themselves a bit of old fashioned nature at work - a volcano erupting in a land full of snow and ice - that would really have sorted the men from the boys!
