Do they? Some Atheists may think that Christians are inferior to them intellectually. Is it so? I mean, do they think that- and more importantly, are they right?
Everyone has rules to abide by. Of course, just because someone is an Atheist does not mean that their life is just total chaos. Atheists have morals and ethics. They also have rules, too. But would not you agree that as a general rule, that Christians have to play by more astringent rules than Atheists? If that is true, is it fair? Specifically, I mean is it fair to Christians? Is it fair to the Atheists?
Christians are imperfect. So are Atheists. It's just part of the human condition. I am not excusing sin. But Christians are not free of sin. If we play by the rules, then we are just forgiven for our sins when we repent. But of course, we don't always walk the walk and talk the talk. But Christians are supposed to be honest. Most people in general are honest. I am not suggesting that Atheists are liars. Don't misunderstand me. I am just saying that it is much easier on a forum such as 'answers' to be less than honest with ourselves and with others.
Guess what? I am not always honest, either.
Christians are also supposed to walk in love, and not judge. Yet we fail to carry out these missions sometimes. We succumb to animosity, or we insult others. Again, it's a poor excuse, but we're human- all to human, as Nietzsche said.
So is it true that Christians have to play by more rules- and, therefore, they are at a disadvantage when debating Atheists?
