Do chat logs automatically delete themselves?

I live in a country but this month, I was out of the country for a vacation and in the country where the vacation took place, I used a computer to chat on MSN. Unfortunately, I think the chat logs was ON. So I am assuming the conversations are saved there, which extremely concerns me so much. I cannot access to the computer since I am not using that computer anymore nor are in the country anymore. Do the chat logs automatically delete themselves? (In Tools in MSN, the box was unchecked for saving history.) And do you know any way to access to that computer to delete the history? Thank you so much. Your answers would help me a lot.
