Do Canadians have the right to an education?

Hey, I got in an argument with a teacher about a book. It's a long story... And anyway because of this I need to know if Canadians have the right to an education and to go to school. I searched the "Canadians Rights and Freedoms" and the government of Canada website but I can't find anything. Any info and sources would be helpful. Thanks

Americans supposedly have a right to an education, but in nearly 60 years, even with a college degree, I haven't seen any evidence of an education being available in America. It's all about conforming to thought control and indoctrination.

If you understand "rights" in the sense of natural rights, then no human being can have a "right" to an education because that requires other people to provide it (genuine rights only require that other people not violate them).

However, in the typical positivist sense of "rights," Canadians clearly have a "right" to an education because they are forced to attend school whether they want to or not (Canada has a compulsory education law).
