I've been a pizza guy for a few months now, and the first trend that became startling apparent was that black people don't tip. I'm not really sure of the reason, but I know myself and most of my other fellow drivers sort of find it funny. They act like they're putting one over on us, what they don't realize is that we just take their tipless runs only when there's a white/spanish/asian order near theirs. We often let their orders sit for an hour to an hour and a half while we wait for a real order to come through. Don't get me wrong, there are a few black people out there who do tip, and we remember those people pretty clearly (A testament to how few tip) and waste no time getting their orders out. But often when I hear a "Ye'uh, I wants me a large meat pizzuh wif sum dem chiken wangz and a sea-air-uh mist wid it, and tell duh pizzuh man to hurry dis time, we ain't no wantin' no cold fewd" I just sort of roll my eyes and we begin to plan what sorts of funny things we can do to them. I've talked to a few other people from different stores and it seems pretty by the books to have everyone fire snot rockets into their sauce before we put the cheese on. So my question is, do they ever tire of this? If they just cough up even a few bucks extra to help us out with gas or car maintenance then they will get the normal topping portions, their sauce won't be visible through their slack cheese, it won't be cold and dry from sitting out for an hour before it's deliver, and most of all they won't have all the horrible things mixed in with their sub-par pie. I know they generally aren't too bright, but do they really not understand that you don't jerk around people who make your food? I find it absolutely baffling.
Oh and before the token girl who's banging a black guy comes on and makes the "Oh I have many black friends and they all tip very well", I'm going to go ahead and call you out for being a liar. My friends and I go out to eat often and I've never paid much attention to how they tip. So, enjoy the big penis, but I just don't buy the story about "all your black friends and their over generous tipping habits". Type in "Why don't black people t" and google will fill in "ipping" for you because so many people are curious about it. That sort of thing doesn't happen if there's a tone of truth to it.
