Do Atheist watch sports?

Do you lose respect if a player gives glory to God?

(No disrespect I look at an atheist as a science fan researching evolution)

Yes, and no, I don't really care.
I find it funny that they think god favors their team over the other, or when people think praying will help a receiver catch a touchdown pass, or a golfer to make a putt, etc. etc.

Yes, I do watch sports. I don't lose respect for a player giving thanks to God, but it does kind of make me laugh. Assuming there is a God, why would he/she/it care about how a player performs in a game. Does he/she imagine God sitting on the sidelines with his team's jersey?

Actually I suppose I would. I'm a bicyclist, if Lance Armstrong had fallen on his knees and publicly prayed after winning the Tour de France I don't think I would have been as nearly as impressed with him as I am now.

Yes, I really like soccer and I enjoy football.

I don't care what the players do off the field, I just want an entertaining game.

Saying "No disrespect" does not take the disrespect out of a statement. Please stop being disrespectful.

Hell yeah, I watch sports. I don't lose respect when a player gives "glory to God" after a winning play, but I would point out that God doesn't save quarterbacks -- offensive lines do. Maybe they out to give the glory to the big guys who throw the blocks.

And really, do they think god affects the play? Does god care if the Redskins cover the spread?
