who arrive by boat boat people? I think its disgusting and dehumanising. We have Malcolm Turnball crying that we should be harsher than we already are and that illegal immigration needs dealing with. Hardly anyone arrives by boat.

The real problem for illegal immigration is British/European backpackers who overstay their visas. Should we start referring to them as planepeople? Or do we just ignore that because they are white?
ck - if you knew how australia have treated refugees in the past youd understand why this is an issue here. and other person who had nothing constructive to add. i guess you havent heard of freedom of expression. i will criticise what i see as wrong thank you very much.
 
not an aussie, but it's heartening to find out that there is media bias and baiting in your country as well.

Yeah we sure do, and that's fine by me.
 
The results are in.

Europe and the US are clear examples of what a lax immigration administration provides. It is costly and dangerous.

A strict policy will most certainly hurt the sensibilities of 'some' people.

To maintain the identity of a nation, 'some' people's feelings will be hurt. They will survive.

I will accept that rather than being marched off to the intellectual gulag of political correctness.

If you want to make an omlette, you must break some eggs.
 
wow. boat people. disgusting and dehumanizing?

i don't think its anything to cry over. is it really a race issue?
