Do any of you know about women like this in history?

For example articles say Alexander the Great was homosexual, so was Da Vinci, Michelangelo, plato or socrates i can't remember which one? and um i've read of winnaretta singer having affairs with other women.
Where there other women in history like that? Or men too that were ever prosecuted and treated bad since ppl saw homosexuality as something horrible back then. Its just that today i was reading and i came up to this things just searching for random ppl to read about in the internet and i had that question.
 
I believe that the Greek poet Sappho was a lesbian. I have also heard that Eleanor Roosevelt was a lesbian. It's very hard to prove that historical figures are homosexual, though it really wasn't a big deal in Greek and Roman society. It was only in the Middle Ages that homosexuals became social anathema. A lot of the Roman Emperors, particularly Caligula and Nero, were openly homosexual. I would look into them both. They are quite fascinating, if evil.
