Maybe I'm paranoid or insecure but sometimes I wonder if my boyfriend's jokes are his passive-aggressive way of getting ready to break up with me.
For example, when I asked him if I should bring a present to this party that his family was having, he asked "What if we break up before then?" I was visibly upset at this remark and he laughed and said he was just joking. Another time he told to have a good week because it might be a while before he talked to me again. Again I was upset and he laughed and said he was just kidding.
Do lots of guys do this? I don't know if he's just joking or what.
We've been dating a few years now.
