from my biological father? I'm eighteen-years-old. I've never met my biological father. My mother is well aware of her heritage, English, Irish, Norwegian and German-- but I can't help but wonder what else I could be. I know nothing about my Dad except his first and last name- his last name of which I'm not even sure of the correct spelling. I wanted to get a regular DNA test in hopes to get some answers... but of course, I would need a swab from my biological dad, or someone else related to him. I know nothing about his family, how to contact them... so I was wondering- is there anyway I can still find out my heritage without him testing? Is there any test specifically for me, and me only that could provide me some answers?!
Mmm. Well, I appreciate that your response. My mother knew of my biological father only a little while before she was raped. I don't care if that shocks you by any means. And no- I don't feel as if it would make me a better person. I'm planning for my children, and I would like to be able to answer their questions if those questions will arise. What's with the stereotypes? Those aren't really appreciated. I'm an American, yes- I was born here. It's a beautiful country with a lot of messed up things in it- just as you would find in any country and I do not see how that is even vaguely related to my question. DNA - Patriotism? Uhhh. Thanks- if only for taking the time to respond. And I do hope your name isn't suggesting you are, or anything like ' House ' off of the TV show... because that'd be an insult to Doctors, and the actor himself. Happy New Year!!
