DMCA troubles?

Just wondering, how many people are getting letters from their ISP that they are sharing files? I read on slashdot a few weeks ago that letters are going out to people, stating they are sharing files they shouldn't be sharing which is protected by the DMCA. The question really is how many people are getting such letters, and what is stated in them?

I am one of the unfortunate ones that received a letter from my ISP for copyright infringement [sharing songs]. I called my ISP to find out what was going on. They told me that I had to get in touch with the Adelphia Abuse Investigation Team. I got in touch with them and they said that I am automatically banned from my connection for a minimum of thirty days. They told me what song I was sharing and what site I was on. They also said that the RIAA has companies working for them that constantly monitor file sharing sites. They have a program that collects your IP address & songs you are sharing then forwards the information to your ISP. Certain ISP'S automatically ban you, while others will warn you first before disconnection.

Please post the name of your ISP and the country/state you live in.

Gnutella is world wide, do not expect that the DMCA has a meaning in a word wide context.... yet. Here in Europe, I have never heared from ISPs banning users.
