That's what it feels like sometime, especially when I'm pissed and turn all the buckets over and dump the toolboxes trying to find one of the golden tools- the 10mm socket and those two allen wrenches that fit about everything. I hate when I can't find them!

The rear fender, tail light, turn signal and seat mod is starting to shape up.

I haven't mounted the tail light yet. You can see the bracket under the fender where I'll mount the cat eye tail light. From the angle it looks like the bracket might interfere with the tire at full suspension compression. But there's actually plenty of clearance.

The seat mod was the easiest part.

If you've ever seen a plastic seat pan, you'll know that they are not smooth and even, but rather have lots of high and low spots in the mold. I sprayed the top of the seat pan with expanding foam. I gave it a night to expand then came back with a hack saw blade and trimmed it across the top along the entire length. This gave me a nice, solid, flat seat pan. Then I cut out a piece of aluminum flashing the same size at the top of the seat pan and riveted it on. I next covered the seat with carpet padding, then 1/4" foam and finally a sheet of plastic before putting the stock seat cover back on.

It's coming along. Added forward controls and 32" broom stick bar.

I put a rock guard underneath the tail light. Otherwise, one good rock would take it out. I'm gonna paint the rock guard black so that it blends in. In the pic it looks like it sticks out further than the tail light but it is even with the bottom of the tail light but sits about 1/8" below it.

Still gotta debadge...

Hmmm... I don't know. I've never really gotten into the LED lighting thing. Not that I don't like it, just been more focused on performance and other cosmetics. But I do see the potential for it...

Dang it, Loki, now that I've got it together and can start to enjoy the new mods, you go and get me thinking again. Crap, I'll never be satisfied! :madd:

I put a set of the blue LED lights on mine.
Under the tank pointing down, under the frame pointing to the ground, and under the rear fender.

Looks sharp reflecting off the chrome at night!

Looking great man. You're a machine!!

Now come up here and help me out with that old GS750E i just bought...i'll provide the Beer and Wings

Cool. You gonna make a cafe racer out of it or restore it to stock?

On the S40, if I leave now, I'll make it there by...............

Christmas.

What! A Suzuki GS750E?:wwpics:

What're you gonna do with it? Put the motor into a chopper frame? Can't wait to see your project.

Good luck!

Edit: Just got excited, okay you're transforming it into a cafe racer.
