I get dizzy every time I get up from a lying position.I get a feeling as if I am about to faint and my vision gets blurred.
It's not only in case when I get get up in the morning but this happens even if I have been in a lying position for a few minutes any time of the day.
My blood pressure under normal conditions has always been in the range of 100-110(systolic) and 70-75(diastolic).Initially I thought that this could be because of orthostatic hypotension in which case the blood pressure falls to a very low level when you get up.
So, I decided to check my blood pressure when getting up from a lying position.I put a digital BP monitor on my arm and got up from a lying position and measured the blood pressure. To my horror and surprise (unlike orthostatic hypotension) it showed a very-very high blood pressure reading
My BP under normal circumstances ,as mentioned above, is within normal limits.I am worried as to what could be the probable reason for it to shoot up so much.
