If you ever forget your barrel key remember this - everyone else's Harley barrel key will work in YOUR gas tank lid and vice versa. They are universal. But, of course, only yours will work in your own ignition (obvious, but what the hell). It's 12 below this morning in Minnesota - be a while before we ride!

hello all
alot of great ideas here but didnt see this one

all my junk was rattling aroung my tour box..........

so i bought a "bucket boss" or some odd bucket organizer

pick one that has all pockets and not one that has alot of loops

with a straight edge i cut the exterior pockets from the interior pockets

applied 2" industrial velcro and stick them onto the sides of the box

if you need more pockets that that.................you pack way too much junk

the bucket organizer that i bought had 3 layers of pockets of all different sizes------more than plenty room for all your gadgets

keep up the good work here

Chunky thats a good idea....... Which gave me another idea my wife got me a cloth tool box with the tool pouches and stuff. it stands on its own. about 10 inches long and six inches wide, that would fit in the bags or the TP real nice for all those odds and ends.

I've thought about the 2 into 1 pipe mod that NCCop Bike Rider and CREEPSHOW posted about doing. I'm wondering if there was any performance gain noted. Anyone?...

I have the cheap short antenna on my 08 FLH classic, no change in reception. Can't say about the CB though. Don't know why Harley put that fly rod for an antenna.

Seems the picture of the schematic for wiring the horn into the security dissapeared. Since I have had several request for this again I will repost. Enjoy!!

Spare key. I store a spare key inside one of the side coversecured with string. I learned it from a buddy and it paid off one day when in New Orleans off burbon street when I returned to the bike I noticed I could not find the key to the bike. Thank goodness I had the key hid or I would have been screwed. Later the key was found in my wifes purse. Go figure!
