DivX on E61 or .3gpp on E61?

Hey all, I was reading on different nokia blog sites for people encoding their dvds/divx to play on the E61. I would really prefer to use DivX vs playing .3gpp files in Real Player as I really don't like the player.. and prefer the free DivX player when necessary. Anyways, I'm using SUPER to encode them and I simply can't get any settings for encoding Xvid divx which will play correctly on the E61 without losing audio sync against the video. Has anyone successfully found a good setting for their encoding needs ? If I encode with .3gpp format using AAC and video at 480 kbit as one suggested, the quality is quite good and the audio sync is perfect under real player and other then a little bit choppy sometimes when there is a lot going on in the video stream it is good. but still I wish to use divx instead as the real player sucks, I can't find a way to fast forward/backwards, go to fullscreen without having to pause and replay, etc.

If anyone can post their SUPER settings for good quality divX on the e61, let me know or some other alternatives ?

thanks
Nick

I found the free DivX player to be worse. Audio sync was always a problem for me. I've had no sync problems with Realplayer with any of my DivX files (use the MP4 container and AAC). With Realplayer, press 2 to switch between fullscreen and regular modes. Push the joystick up for fast forward, down for rewind.

the free divx player did not work for me at all. i use smart movie divx player because even if the movie is out of sync it can be adjusted in the player. realplayer works good but i doesnt see to play my files as well. i use SUPER to encode all of my movies and it works great.

Since I finally got Super working on my PC, I've had a lot better (luck) performance from using RP than I ever did with Divx Player. I've uninstalled the divx and stick with RealPlayer (which I agree is an overall sub-par player, mind you). I'm also still anxiously awaiting the CorePlayer (TCPMP) for S60v3. TCPMP worked flawlessly on my previous WM5 device, and I have yet to find anything that works as well for Symbian.

Which SUPER settings are you using? You are using a DivX or Xvid output container or .3gpp with mp4/aac? what bitrates audio/video? i'm using 480 for video, too hight maybe?

can real player play divx ?

Don't think that Flash Lite supports flv ... but Super does a ... super job of the conversion.

I'm converting to 3GP/MP4/AAC, bit rate of 288kbps for video, 96kbps for audio. Quality is pretty good.

Except for the odd occacsion when Super won't support the file (ie. Vp7 codec), I'm sticking to that combination. Always have issues with sound sync on Smartmovie, the freeware XVid player handles the sync better, much has lower volume, to the point that I can't hear the blighter whilst I'm on the train.
