So, tomorrow was supposed to be my divorce hearing, but I get a call at around 3:00 this afternoon from a woman telling me there is no judge to hear the case and they will have to reschedule... for October. I've already had the date moved up because my ex keeps violating the restraining order I have against him and she says she'll schedule it for September 21 BUT it will likely be rescheduled again. Aren't there any laws that say they have to hear divorce cases within a certain timeframe... particularly in abuse cases where one spouse is continuing to be a threat to the other? I feel like it wouldn't matter if he broke my door down at this point. Is there anything I can do?
