ditching my blackberry for nexus

I have the new BB Bold 2 but was thinking of returning it and getting the Google Nexus, how's the android concerning email and sms? other than google maps, what free map navigation app is there for the android? I need navigation maps for the middle east, specially kuwait. I also don't want to go for the iPhone route.

The google's new smartphone nexus one is really very good phone. It Fulfills the need for a camera with a flash and an mp3 player. The speed of the Nexus one phone is very fast as it has a very fast CPU. The voice recognition feature is very cool.In advance in latest version you mat find latest technology like pinch-in-zoom, google googles and google navigation.The Nexus One has many of the table stakes security features that we've come to expect.It supports all of the wireless security features found on your typical laptop client.
I think its much more than blackberry.

I'd wait for the multicarrier version of the Nexus one. It will support 850/1900 MHz 3G.

Legend looks nice but the much lower res screen is a deal breaker for me. Personally I would never choose the legend over n1.
