Disturbe'd Crazy Week of Crazyness!

This weekend I went back to where I used to live in northern IN for a friend's bachelor party, but many a crazy thing happened over the course of Fri-Sun

Friday: I met up with a girl I dated forever ago but never really did anything with. She had a few drinks but was still perfectly capable of deciding that we should mess around. Eventually I decided to drive us to a dark, secluded place that I would occasionally go drive through when I decided I needed to do some offroading. This time though it was for a different type of driving :naughty:

Things were going pretty well, her on top. She sounded as though she were enjoying it. Suddenly she says "OH SHIT!" to which I smile thinking I'm doing quite well... guess not "There's a car coming!" So we quickly get dressed and watch to see what the car is doing. They drive a different direction...and light of a firecracker. Just one. They then leave.

At this point she's too scared to keep going in this place, and so I take her home. I'm still pretty happy as this is the closest I've been to getting any since...well a little over a year I think.

Fast forward to Saturday. I'm following a friend in his car to the Groom to Be's house. We see construction, take the detour. Then we get to another road closed part and decide to try and go through that part because we see others doing the same. Unfortunately for some reason those people get to go through and we get pulled over... and ticketed. Apparently this particular ticket, if we don't fight it and get it dropped, could mean 6 points on his license and a nice mark on my record for me (as my license is not an Indiana one). Good way to almost ruin the entire day of the party.

Thankfully the rest of the day went well...paintballing and LAN partying and it turns out the groom is a hilarious drunk.

THE END.

Wow your story sounds like a prequel to 'The Hangover'. I don't know. Making out in the dark in a car - used to be a favourite past-time of mine. Getting too self-conscious of passing vehicles is a mood killer. -_-''' Need to find somewhere more secluded.

Getting pulled over always sucks. 6 bloody points. Geez, I thought the demerit penalties here were harsh. In the end, it's all revenue raising... think of that.

So did you get some?

A little bit of both. Mostly outdoor, but they had a barn sort of deal with speedball stuff set up. Was a good time as usual.

No cars passed by, just the one turned into the field we were parked in...and went to a different side, then left.

Yeah kinda did, we just didn't get to go for more than a few minutes before that car showed up :happysad:

Update: our tickets are $126.50, but apparently would normally be $150. Oh yay?

We could try and fight it, but apparently if we lose we could be forced to pay up to $10,000 (wtf?)

It does in fact equal 6 points for my friend--the same as going 26 mph or more over the limit--and you lose your license if you get 18.

I don't get points, but it does show up on my record for 2 years, and as a criminal justice major it would make getting a job in my field that much more difficult. I'm not sure what to do about all this. Granted paying would be easy enough, but that 2 years things seems unnecessarily harsh.

Heck. Is it a civil offence though? Even if it does show up, they probably won't care all that much. A lot of people have traffic offences in their records. In most police checks traffic offences aren't included - only criminal offences.

Yeah if you try and fight it, and lose the $10,000 is probably the other side's court costs. So you'd most likely be paying the prosecution's court costs? I don't know about over there, but that's how it works over here. Like with the police check thing - traffic offences don't come up. Most employers will not care about traffic offences, unless your job requires you to do a lot of driving.
