I have used a camera attachment to take photos with my Nokia 6100 and display them as my phone wallpaper. However, when displayed they do not fill the entire screen and there are white bars at the top and bottom. This doesn't happen with my boyfriend's 6100 or other graphics that already stored on my phone. Just photos from the camera. Can anyone help???

This is a very simple one.
The 6100 has a screen resolution of 128x128.
The camera captures photos of resolution 640x480. If you set them as wallpapers the 640x480 pic gets resized in such a way that the 640 becomes 128. Thus, proportionally the 480 height pixels also resize to become 480*(128/640) ie 96pixels.

Thus the photo from the camera gets effectively resized to 128x96 pic. But since the screen is 128x128, you see white bars both below and above the wallpaper.
Did this help? Or was it too confusing?

I understand what you're saying but my boyfriend also has the 6100 and uses the very same camera attachment but it doesn't happen with his, this white bar thing...

well heres and idea ! just upload the pics to your computer
resize them to 128X128 ...and then download them to ya mobile again ! hoped i helped you

Did you try putting the EXACTLY SAME camera attachment?
And did you shoot pictures and then immediately set them as wallpapers, or did you put them on the PC and resize them?

I know it was exactly the same camera attachment because we share the same one. And yes, I do save them as wallpapers straight away. I haven't even tried linking my phone to a PC yet!

Hmmm.... Now that's an interesting problem.
Maybe the settings for his phone must be saved, and he must have configured it to take pictures at 128x128, while in your phone it takes pictures at the default 640x480 resolution.
