^Its vastly different that the original planned version "Rapunzel: Unbraided" which was aiming to go down the Shrek path. OK it seems like they're flirting with that same path in the trailer, but from what I've heard they're not stooping so low.
Most aniticpated release this year for me along with Toy Story 3 and Inception. Trailer is a bit ..meh but the fans seem to have it on good authority that the film will be pretty different to the trailer, for example this makes it seem abit "shrek-ish" when we know its a grand musical in the style of Beauty and the Beast.
Have really high hopes for this, can't wait to hear the songs especially - I just have a feeling that this is the film that Disney will finally be able to match Pixar on in terms of quality this past decade
From what I've heard they've took the most Shrek-like elements to promote the film. The finished product is more musical and akin to the Second Renaissance period classics of the '90s.
Which is great news.
I think it was always intended to be CG but with a painted look and it seems like they have stuck to that. You can see it best in the shot of the Tower.
