First teaser poster :) very creative i like it, this article confirms what i had dreaded though, the UK will have to wait 2 months after the US as we will not get Tangled untill the end of January  I don't think I will be able to resist watching this one online first - Most anticipated film for a long time.

and for those who are not familiar with the project; the film is based on the story of Rapunzel and is a action/romantic-comedy/musical with songs written by Alan menken (The Little Mermaid, beauty and The Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas etc...)

I don't really care for that trailer, it's important to note though that the actual film is supposedly quite different in tone from the trailer. Less 'shrek-ish' more 'classic fairytale'

and yes, the visuals are stunning, deffinatly the best cgi animation has ever looked imo.

I was very dissapointed by the trailer and it does look very 'Shrek-ish', still it is Disney and I have very high hopes for it. Wish it was 2D though...

It does look very Shrek-ish but rather than a normal trailer it does seem to just be a couple of scenes from the movie, so probably just a couple of comedy moments, with the usual standard inbetween that wouldn't really drag you into a movie in a short 2 minute burst.

It does look amazing, the best people CGI I think I've seen.

I don't like the trailer. This is supposed to be the story of Rupunzel and they have completely rewritten it so it's an new story. This doesn't surprise me because in the US the story is pretty much unknown. There are a whole bunch of stories that are European fairy tales that are either completely or relatively unknown in the US. There is a reason why Disney have never done stories such as Rumplestiltskin, The Three Billy Goats Gruff etc. Within the US they are hard to market owing to unfamiliarity. It's curious that Disney have also stayed away from Hans Christian Anderson and The Brother's Grimm. Great stories that they could have done animations of over the years.
Having seen the trailer for this I'm glad they have stayed away. Gawd knows how they would screw up those stories.

Slightly disapointed with the trailer for reasons slated above however I hope the movie is a big success as Disney Classics have been missed and if this is a success we are going to get Snow Queen which like Rapunzel has been a long time coming.

I do wonder if this rewriting a whole story is going to affect Disney's animation output in general. If they want to do "Disney Classics" they have a big problem. Most of them feature quite weak women. The girl/woman dreaming of a man to save her, come along and do all those things "a girl/woman" can't do.
In 2010 would they dare to portray females in that way to stay faithful to the story? If they wouldn'tm then I think that you may as well call "Disney Classics" as pretty much dead.
