disney's new movie rapunzel - first trailer

I'm not, but judging by the comments on here and You Tube and in general, there's time for Disney to change there minRAB. It has been known.
 
Hang on? Disney are doing The Snow Queen?! :D wow!!! I wanted them to do that film back in the early 90s!!

I wonder what has made them suddenly go back and make 2D films again? not that I'm complaining. Its bloody brilliant!!!
 
If you pardon the pun, its been put back on ice yet again.


In part, the appointment of John Lasseter as CCO. He started out as a hand drawn animator and knows that's what the Mouse does best.

It then allows them to have two distinctive studios - WDAS doing the 2D and Pixar doing 3D.

Although thats not exclusive - JL did want to allow any WDAS director to pick which medium they think best suits their stories - so there may be the odd 3D flick from Burbank every now and then.
 
Its been shelved, but I don't think its been entirely scrapped.

Rumour has it the suits worried about releasing 3 princess/fairytales in sequence. (4 if you count Pixar's Bear and the Bow).
