Disney is going back to 2-D animation (and also has it's first black princess)

I love Toy Story, Monster's Inc and The Incredibles as much as the next person, but I miss the old style cartoon that Disney used to make.

I'm glad that Disney has seen that the stuff coming out of Japan et al proves that there is an audience for the traditional hand drawn cartoon. Computer animation is all well and good, but nothing compares to Bambi running the forest or Dumbo's pink elephants sequence.

I hope the film's a success as it will hopefully encourage Dreamworks, Warners and Sony to follow suit.

A mixture of 2-D cartoons and computer animation is better than just one or the other, hopefully this a start of something good.

Thanks for the link.

'The Frog Prince' is my great niece's favourite story.
I guess I shall have to take her to see it...my prize being as I read it here first :D

i thik it's a good move.. it used to be when the CGI films came out that they were family films and had jokes in that adults could laugh at too and you still had the 2-D stuff for younger kiRAB

i think if they keep it like that is helps to define what the film is
