disney movies

I really really can't stand Bambi or the Lion King, think its because I was traumatised by them! I love Disney films, they cheer you up if you're having a bad day....faves include Aladdin, Lady and the Tramp, Mulan, Hercules, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty etc etc
 
Been watching a few movies on cinemagic with my daughter, anyone like the rescuers? 1st one is really great second one isnt as good though.
 
The trashy, rip-off sequels of the Disney classics are the worst...Cinderella II was just painful. However, the only Disney sequel that was probably as good as the original was Mulan II, perhaps because it was more of a modern film rather than a follow-up to a classic.
 
Have to say classical isn't my cup of tea. Just like Fantasia wasn't. I've this great box set for it though. It had the movie, a mking of, a collectors edition booklet (whatever that is) and some original artwork from the movie. Pretty cool.
 
I love all the Disney movies, with the exception of some of the sequels.

Favourite has to be The Lion King....

but also up there is Brother Bear, Tarzan and Dinosaur....

I like the Pixar ones as well..... Finding Nemo is fantastic, Cars was great too, and I loved Monster's Inc as well and both Toy Story films....

I collected them all on video over the years, but am now in the process of re-collecting them all on DVD :D
 
Agreed - things like "Cinderella 2" are just cringeworthy.

I think my favourite are the Princess ones - Sleeping Beauty etc. I love the Lion King as well. (The stage version is brilliant).
Mary Poppins I still love now....
From the recent Pixar ones, I think my favourite is Finding Nemo - I really love Dory!

I've still got all the Disney videos gathering dust in a cupboard - I was considering getting them all on DVD because videos fade....
 
I can't remember which films were Disney or not however I loved "All dogs go to Heaven" as a kid and "The Land Before Time".

I really enjoyed "Finding Nemo" & "A Sharks Tale", they were brilliant!! :D
 
Please don't get me started on Disney. I just returned from Disneyland and i acted like a complete kid running around after the characters.

Anyway i adore most films but my favourites are:

My fave was Robin Hood (am having the new 2 disc edition as a belated birthday present)

Closely followed by The Jungle Book..look for teh bear neccesities, the simple bear neccessities, don't orry abot your troubles or your strife.

Lion King was too sad..as was Dumbo
 
See, to me Dumbo was far more upsetting than Bambi. Yes, its very sad that Bambi lost his mother but, he did still have his father who happened to be the great prince of the forest!! Bambi was born into royalty and therefore was adored from birth. Dumbos mother was taken from him just because she was trying to protect him. Everyone called him a freak and the other elephants shunned him, and on top of that - the circus used him and humiliated him over and over again!!! That scene with the jail visit and the swinging in the trunk makes me cry every time!

Definately one of the best, along with The Little Mermaid imo.
