I really want a baby. He says lets wait 2 years (have some time to ourselves) We've been together 2.5 yrs and i'm in my thirties as is he. Biological Clock TICKING like mad. He is blessed with step child from first marriage (not his biological but closest thing he's got to a dad) So he's had all the experiences of bringing up a child. I feel i'm missing out. How much do i compromise? Do i just agree and hope the next 2 yrs dont drive me mad? Do i say no actually i want one sooner? or do i settle for the fact that we may wait two years and he may then not want to ttc then? I want to let mother nature takes it course, stop birth control and see what happens rather than full on TTC.

Help me - i dont want to be unreasonable but 'going with the flow' and my laid back approach has got me nowhere....... Do i fight for what i want? and if he does not, is that enough to leave him? (I dont want to - i love him so much)

We spending time together away from work/home this weekend so i want to discuss but i'm not sure which way it will go.... HELP experiences needed pls. x
thank you snow & beanie. just to add beanie i would never trick him into anything, it wouldnt be fair to any child. I would only ever consider ttc it if it was what we both wanted x

Compromise tell him you are willing to wait 12 months, and then when u get to 12 months you go off birth control and explain to him it could take up to 12 months to conceive and that there is only 20% chance you could actually get pregnant each month.
Don't trick him into it it will push him away, just make sure you respect each others feelings and make sure you are honest and you will
come to a compromise. I waited 18months before my partner was ready to start trying lock
in a date with him once I had a date of when we could start trying I was happy
