The economy is failing, and the housing market is going under - a lot of houses for sale, but no buyers! You could discuss the G20 summit and the effects it could have on the world, if any effect at all.
The ethical/moral aspect of the wars/invasions in the Middle East. How much good have they done? The controversy over the fact that thousands have lost their lives, but with the exception of the execution of Saddam Hussein, has it had a huge effect? What are the positive/negative effects?
Relations of other countries with the United States, and what are the opinions of other countries of the States since Barack Obama took over George Bush as president? Is the world happier that Obama is now president, are people feeling more optimistic?
