progressive rock

which of these genres is fairing the worst?
is there a style that has seemingly disappeared that you would like to see make a comeback?
do you foresee a resurgence in any particular genre in the coming years?
do you think any of these genres have truly lost touch with the original artists (give examples)?
do you think any of these genres have actually gotten better over the course of their evolution?
do you feel like genres are typified by certain bands or time periods, and should not be touched afterward (examples)?

- Punk has slightly and post punk just sucks its not punk now days its "EMO"

- i think possibly Folk rock it left with Jethro Toll which sucked

Garage - Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Punk - The Cassualties
Metal - Avenged Sevenfold (Even tho i like thier old stuff and not so much thier new)
