You ask of "How can anyone objectively say that they know God? Did god tell them in person who he is or what he is like? And how do you know for sure that whats written in holy texts are the words of any god?"
================================
1.) The magnificent Qur'an was relieved, I'm sure if you read the Holy Texts of the Qur'an you might get a thing or two, don't assume right out of your mind. Isn't it Allah(s.w.t) that created the existence of everything in this universe? Can you say there was nothing at beginning, that doesn't make sense.
2.) Allah has sent the Angel Gabriel [ Jibreal ] to Muhammad(s.a.w) Allah cannot come Himself and introduce Himself to people, He will save that for The Day of Judgment. That is why He created Angels to be the Messengers of Him.
"And there is nothing comparable to Him." (Surah Al - Ikhlas 114: 4)
3.) And how can you not be sure the Holy Texts are not from God? The Texts cannot be man made, it is in perfect condition, and has never been corrupted because Allah has protected it. There are various Miracles that are mentioned in the Qur'an, and you think man knew this would happen/happened to the universe 1,400 years ago? I think not. It's simple logic Drunk Irish Girl.
Why don't you stop to think twice before making an absolute claim that there is no God?
