Discussing Death W/ Your Kids...?

I have 7yr old twins & last Friday a classmate of theirs was killed along w/ her brother, parents, & grandmother. Today is our first day of Spring Break & I want to tell them w/o putting a damper on their week off, not so sure that's even possible, but I wanted to get some opinions on how you have/would tell your kids.

I would explain to them that they have died and gone to heaven. That we do not know why God chose them to die, but that we should pray for them, and that they will always be in our hearts and they will be missed but God is taking care of them now. That always reassures young children of death. Mine had a young cousin pass away, and they took it well. Children are resilient.
