become the world religion? that is chrisitianity? hi i have an essay to do on this, are the factors such as circumsenison, the gentiles, the ressurcection and the messiah jesus, what are the differences between jews and chrsitians. any suggestions please thanks
 
there were many many sects at the time like the followers of jesus, and many even within that category. The actual question would be more like- why were there so many sects.

As for how the specific sect that became over time modern christianity... (I think you mean the teachings of jesus, and even more the teachings of others like paul later) It had a lot to do with which writings from the time were chosen later to make up the bible. And that would be all about motive, as for whose writings were chosen over others.
