I'm 16 years old and I was at the mall today and went into Gloria Jeans with my friend. I gave the cashier $20 dollars and I should have gotten 15 dollars back in change but he only gave me 5. I told him that I gave him a 20 not a 10 and he called the manager up. Long story short, the manager said he would go back and look at the security camera to see how much I gave him. I felt so embarrassed to have to stand there for 15 minutes while he checked the tape. I wouldn't lie about something like that and the guy knew I gave him $20 because he stuck it in with all the other 20's. The manager came out and said that I was right but he didn't even seem like he felt bad. Anyways, has anyone else had this happen to them?
Ok, maybe discrimination wasn't the right word... but he definitely tried to take advantage of me because he thought I didn't know any better and that still doesn't make it right.
The cashier watched me the whole time, and he told the manager that I didn't give him a 20.
To mr. warrior, If he gave me an apology that doesn't mean it would have made me feel superior. I wanted an apology because I was in that store for 15 minutes while all the other customers looked at me like I was a criminal. Since when does wanting an apology mean you want to belittle someone?
