Looked up proper plug gap before installing new plugs in my 09 FLHX and came up with. 38 - .43. I read that. 40 seemed to be the most popular setting so I set new plugs to that.
I measured my old plugs (stock set that came with bike) and they were. 45?
Can't ride it till next weekend what should I expect with new Gap? I just had my bike Dynod with old plugs will it screw that up?
Replaced with stock 6R12's

Depending on how many miles you had on your old plugs but probably won't make alot of difference. I like to index my plugs.

Why would you dyno your bike with old plugs?

Maybe I am out of the loop, but any time I have ever had a bike put on the dyno, they put new plugs in it. And occasionally, they have changed the gap in the plugs.

Good Question! Unfortunately I dont have a good answer.

This is the first bike I have paid to have Dyno'd so I had no idea what I needed to do to prepare for it.

Looking back It would have made sense.

Actually I would have thought your tuner would have swapped them out.
Not pointing the finger at you.
But again, I may really be out of the loop on this FI stuff.

You know what , guilty, I found a deal from my dealer or his internet site. Dyno for 100.00 and it said this mo. I printed it down and took it in. They honored it. No plugs no nothing, and the deal was gone the next day. I noticed everyone there had this funny look when I showed it to them. Maybe I didn't get the best job, but it did show improvements on the dyno sheet. Hope you can't fake it? and I don't mean to imply they did.
Kroozeabout. My pt. wish I'd put plugs in.
