I have had back problems for over 2 years and finally had an MRI. It has come back with disc bulge at L5/S1, with dehydration of the disc itself.

What should my next course of action be?

I have seen chiros/oesteos and physios in the past, any advice is appreciated!

If you don't already have a spine specialist (either a neurosurgeon or an ortho who limits his practice to the spine only) then that should be your next step. You may be sent to physical therapy to try to strengthen your lower back and help keep that disc from bulging further. Not knowing if this is causing pain or what symptoms you have, I'm at a loss to say anything more but I do wish you the best of luck.

The pain i get varies, some days it feels as though i dont have a problem then others it gets worse. There doesnt seem to be any triggers, just happens.

Compared with a lot of people on this board my issues seem relatively minor as i can still get on with my life, however physical exercise is pretty much out the window and this is what i love to do. Being honest i am pretty much lost.
