I don't get why these films are being put in league with the Scary Movie series, Scary Movie 1-4 were actually funny.
The only similarities between them is that they are spoofs (although using spoof to describe date, epic, spartans and disaster is really stretching the word) and that 2 of the writers of the original scary movie wrote them (they didn't write any of the other Scary Movies). They're more like a bad spiritual continuation, they aren't official sequels to Scary Movies.
I do however worry that because of these awful, awful films and everyones assumptions that they are sequels, people will be put off of seeing Scary Movie 5 when it comes out.

Scary Movie 3 and 4 pretty much put me off ever seeing a Scary Movie 5, they were truly awful films, particularly the laugh free zone of SM4...
They should have left it at 2 films imo.

I was put off by the first one. I just knew they could have been done much, much better. It was inevitably going to result in all these crap movies. If you didn't have any good ideas to begin with, and you run out of all your crap ideas, you're left with pathetic ideas, like this Disaster Movie looks to be.
Good grief - I just saw a TV ad and that was enough for me. A girl who looks like Amy Adams emerges from a manhole and is knocked over by a car. 
WTF is the point in pointing a Hancock like person in the movie? BECAUSE HE LOOKS LIKE HANCOCK?! And maybe says something Will Smith says?! Whooppee doo. Hancock was a comedy for Chrissakes, this is not intelligent spoofery, its just sad.
