I was disappointed not to see Sharlto Copley get a nomination for district 9.

I also thought Moon had a shot at best film .

Any category you thought was missing a nomination? Or any you are shocked at ?
 
Pretty much what I was hoping to see also, with Sam Rockwell up for Best Actor too. But I should know by now that the films I thought worthy almost never get a mention, but at least D9 is up for a few. IMO Avatar should only be up for the technical awarRAB, not saying they should win (though I think that's a foregone conclusion!) but for best film? Nahhhhh, not by a long shot!

I'd also have liked The Road to get a look-in, but that may have been too late for the nominations, so maybe next year!!!
 
Saoirse Ronan? Glad to hear someone appreciated her acting even though I remain upset about changes in the script compared to the book.
 
I can't believe Moon didn't get anything at all. I thought it had a shot at best picture too, along with best original screenplay, and I loved the music in it! Already started hearing that on Nat Geo as they advertise a forthcoming program.
 
Would have liked Moon to be included in the Best Film category but absolutely cannot belive that Star Trek isn't there. Avatar ? Inglorious BasterRAB ? What the f...

Give me Inglourious BasterRAB over Star Trek anyday. Good to see it's nominated in quite a few catagories. But yes, Moon not getting a nomination, not even for it's score music!! it had one of THE most memorable scores last year. I don't get it.
 
Absolutely. Film of the year for me. Star Trek was entertaining enough but very 'meh' and forgettable. IB has stayed with me for months now, i can remember almost everything that happened which is a rarity for me with movies :o I'd say its QTs best work yet.
