Disappointed by The Dark Knight DVD Special Features

apparently these are the special features:

Gotham Uncovered - How Christopher Nolan and his team developed the new Bat-suit and Bat-pod and composer Hans Zimmer musically characterized The Joker's reign of chaos.
The Dark Knight IMAX

I don't see why they should change it from a 12 to a 15 for the certificate dvd version. DvRAB are not 12A last time I looked, so someone under 12 will not be able to buy it themselves unless it's a stupid shop.

The Batman Begins DVD features weren't all that amazing either. Christopher Nolan doesn't like audio commentaries so I'm not shocked if there aren't any on The Dark Knight DVD either. :(

They should have had at least one Heath Ledger feature. He was after all (IMO) the best character in the movie. I'm sure they must have had some interviews with him!

Maybe we should start a petition :D

That's really unnecessary...

I am a bit disappointed with the special features. 'The Psychology of The Dark Knight' and the Gotham Tonight episodes are a fun watch but I've already seen them online, months ago. They were shown as part of the marketing in the run up to the film's release.

I wanted a comprehensive 'making of' documentary and a commentary from Nolan, at least.

Oh well. There's always the Special Edition, I suppose...

But it'll probably be 3 years or so before that special edition comes out. That should be when the 3rd of Nolan's films gets going. That's if he decides he wants to do it. IMO Ledger's death scuppered his big plan, even though he might not say that. The Joker was obviously meant to appear in the 3rd film (they wouldn't leave him alive and then not feature him).

Sadly, Heath passed away before he had time to sit down and do any interviews for the DVD or for the film in general.

And I'm pretty sure, in the days after his death, Christopher Nolan said that Heath had signed on to reprise the Joker in the next Batman.
