Disabling mPortal on Messager II a bad thing?

First off, Happy Holidays!

I find the mPortal on my Messager II particularily annoying, and not useful at all. I've discovered how to disable it, but will Cricket frown upon me doing this? (odd question I know.) I like that your screen isn't cluttered like with the mPortal when its turned on. Will my phone act any different with mPortal turned off?
 
there isnt a way of them to know. i mean if you take it in the store they can notice (most reps and managers are too durab to notice anyways) but other than that no. its your phone do whatever you want with it. just dont brick it.
